Join us for this hands-on experience in the Hunter/gatherer lifestyle:
a little work, lots of play. While attending you will collect the food
you eat - rumbling tummies may promote faster learning.
⊗ June 17 Camp day. Arrive and set up your camp. Pot luck Dinner and
workshop introduction at 6p.m, followed by a campfire social.
⊗ June 18 & 19 Full day of teaching, gathering and sharing wild foods.
⊗ June 20 Breakfast and lunch will be learning experiences. In the
afternoon we
wrap up with cleaning and evaluations.
The Rediscovery Center features primitive camping. Please bring your
own DRINKING WATER; we have tent sites and port-a-potties. RVs are
welcome, but there is NO electricity or running water. Everyone will
police their own areas and clean up after shared events.
What to bring: A gathering bag, DRINKING WATER, good knife, dishes and
utensils, towels swimsuit, folding chair, toilet paper, lantern,
notebook & pencil, tent, bedrolls, jacket & rain gear. No
alcohol or drugs are allowed.
Where is the Rediscovery Center? 29401 400th Street – Waubun, MN
From south: 5 miles north of White Earth, then east 2 1⁄2 miles
From north: East from Waubun to County 13, south 5 miles and east 2 1⁄2
miles.
Registration, Cost for the event is $50; this includes food and camp
site.
